Please join us on August 15th and 16th!

Dear Friends of Vista Covenant Church, 

We're celebrating 150th years of God's faithfulness at Vista Covenant Church, and we'd love for you to join us!  Our anniversary week will be August 15-16, with the theme "Rooted in Christ, Reaching Out in Love" (Ephesians 3:17-19) - a vision that has shaped Vista for generations.

Saturday, August 15th

• 3:00 p.m. - Welcome and reconnect: snacks, games, and fellowship.  Tours of the parsonage and church, plus a look at our Shepherd's Robe ministry (free clothing and household items for the community)
• 5:30 p.m. - Supper and opportunity to share Vista memories.
• 6:30 p.m. - Celebration service: with speaker Kara Stromberg, Superintendent of the Northwest Conference, reflections from former pastors, special music, worship, and a short drama.  Coffee and bars to follow, with more time to visit.

Sunday, August 16th

• 10:00 a.m. - Worship service with guest speaker Tammy Swanson-Draheim, President of the Evangelical Covenant Church.  Music lead by Vista's Worship Team and a special "Vista Band".
• 11:30 a.m. - Fellowship meal served by our youth going to Unite (raising funds for the denomination's youth gathering, formerly CHIC).

Calling all Vista Band participants

• If you'd like to play with the Band, let us know and we'll send you the music.  Practice will be Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m.  Band music has been a meaningful part of Vista's story-we'd love to hear it again!

• Please share this invitation with siblings and children who were part of Vista in the past.  We don't have everyone's current address, and your help ensures more can join the celebration.
